you can unsummon and resummon the companion , send it to vendor junk( I can’t remember if they had a follow option or anything, but I don’t think they did. I believe this is subject to change if it hasn’t already been changed). Companion at this level did have one ability, as you can see from the video. You can use the ability when the player wants to. It was on a toolbar off to the side of the toolbar. When you are attacked or attacking something companion automatically attacks them. I am thinking they will work much like a pet when game is released. As far as I could tell the npc’s do not show on radar. Not sure if this has changed or if they are even planning on changing it.There was no auto attack, this has been mentioned but I am validating it, unless they change it.
At this time they said that creatures would not have their battle animations yet. They planned to add those in later… Not sure if this has been done by now.
There is a dark side /light side scale. If you do something that would be consider good you get light side points for it. Something bad you would get darkside points. You can get neutral points. Most of my guys seemed to stay pretty neutral , but I decided how I would make decisions based on how I felt about the npc. So sometimes I might kill them, sometimes I might help them. Sometimes I might screw them over. Just depended. Not exactly sure how the dark side light side scale effects your actual experience. I think it may have an effect on how your companion views you and treats you, but again I am not sure. There are cantina’s in this game. There was one in both the fa’thra palace and another in Nemro’s palace. There were npc quest givers in Nemro’s cantina. There was some kind of a bazaar outside the Nemro palace with trainers and npc selling things. Not exactly sure if they had a player bazaar at this point in the game phase. Wouldn’t be surprised to see one, though.
Also, the area where you start out was mentioned as “The poison pit cantina” . This is where you talk to the npc’s at the beginning. One of which winds up being the BH companion later on in the game. Some items appeared to need repairing in order to use them, nobody was able to find a vendor or any method of having them repaired, though. I assume they will address this before the game is released. They had med packs you could use to heal yourself with. I had to use them sometimes depending on the fight and how tough it was.
at level 7 My Bounty Hunter had 6 combat abilities. A shuttle call ability. A “Vent Heat” ability .. this is like replenishing stamina. There was another ability , I am pretty sure you had to be out of combat to use it. I think it healed you and replenished stamina. Flame thrower (perhaps a DOT?), electro dart (stun), rocket launch, Zapper kind of ability forget the name. Bullet spray kind of ability (forget the name of this as well.As far as a mount… At this level and time in the game phase. I didn’t get a mount. Closest thing to a mount was the speeder at certain points in the map they would have one of these that you pay to use and travel across the map. It works like the flight paths in aion. Or the flight paths in wow. Not sure what they plan to do about actuall mounts in the future, or if they plan to add them. When you finish all your main story line on Nal Hutta you can then go to the starport. They had some place holder npc’s there, and tried to use one to see if I could go to the next planet, but no dice. It did, however, say something about Dramond Kaas . I’m sure it was the same for IA aswell. So you can pretty much assume that will be the next planet you go to after Hutta. If you are BH and IA.
